Keep on Keeping on

WHEN CONSISTENCY TRUMPS PERFECTION

Many of you have heard the saying....Keep on Keeping on...

That is exactly what we need to do to reach a goal of any sorts.

Putting in the effort and getting results is the most satisfying thing you can ever get. 

The problem though some of us have this human nature tendency to want to be perfect ALL the time.

Perfection ALL the time IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER....

Results are achieved through consistent effort...event though its not perfect all the time.

When a Child learns to walk...they don't get up and run a comrades like Bruce Fordyce...

They take one step...fall over...then gets up and tries again and again...wobbly and holding on to hands and objects at first and then one day they walk un assisted....then run....and THEN only we can start working on the Bruce Fordyce's of the future...

Nutrition results of any sorts work exactly the same....day by day we learn... we fail...we getup...and do it again...this time we fare a bit better...
slowly but surely we get it right...NOT PERFECT...but we have consistency...a consistency of...

Making the better choice even though its not perfect...

Getting back on the bus after you have crashed and burned on wine and pizza...

Doing that workout even if its with a bit less enthusiasm because you just not into it....
Drinking that extra glass of water instead of that extra beer or now that its winter...that cup of herbal/rooibos tea instead of that hot chocolate.

Eating that pizza although its not on plan but only eating one or two slices instead of the whole large...

Going for that step goal on a day that your workout just doesn't happen...life does sometimes just get in the way

JUST CARRY ON

Daily action....
Daily Choices...
Daily decisions...
Daily by day, by day....

And slowly but surely you chip away at the actions of consistency.....
Before you know it you have RESULTS...
